This month is the 30th anniversary when the US Stock Market fell 23% in one day. It was the largest one day loss in US stock market history. “1987” is often used by “pick of the month” newsletters as a way to scare investors. You’ll often hear pundits say, “this feels like another 1987.” Or “the last time the market did this was 1987.” But does 1987 matter anymore?
